Every married couple faces roadblocks in their path to a great relationship. For those whose marriage takes place within the context of a career on the police force, the issues are magnified by the stress, danger and hypervigilance inherent in the job. It makes building a stable and secure family extremely critical, but also extremely difficult - far more so than most people realize.

Being a successful cop takes willpower, strength of character and loyalty. These same characteristics are the building blocks to a healthy marriage and family.

FamilyLife Canada wants to educate officers and their spouses to prepare them for the issues they will face in their home as a result of their career in the force.
